Weekend Wear #3

June 8, 2010

Hey Friends! Guess what time it is....Weekend Wear time ;)!

Before we get started do you notice anything new about Meet Virginia?

We have our very own domain: www.MeetVirginiaDesign.com!!!! The little blog that could is all grown up ;) I am so proud ;)!

I wore this lovely ensemble to one of my GREAT friend's lil baby blessing on Sunday. He is too stinking cute!

{LOVE the print on this dress! Confession: this is a maternity dress from Target...NO NO NO I am not pregnant! It was too cute to pass up and the only thing that I could find that made it seem like a maternity dress was that it was longer in the front....Don't judge me ;) jk ;).}

{I have heard talks that the LBD {Little Black Dress) is being replaced by the Little Blue Dress! That's a check off my list ;).}

Here is the run down of my outfit:

~Target Dress: $14.99, but FREE for me with store credit ;)!
~Downeast Basics Cami: $2.50, I used to work there gotta love an employee discount!
~Target Nude Hobo Bag: $2.00 on clearance plus had a Target coupon!! You can find Target coupons HERE.
~Patent Nude Madden Girl Platform Heels: TJ Maxx $8.00. Clearance!
~Gold Leaf Necklace: NY & Company: $2.00 on clearance!
~Vintage Gold Earrings (not pictured): FREE with store credit from Uptown Cheapskate.

Here are some great tips!

~Wearing Nude heels can help your legs seem longer and you seem taller!
{PS: Couldn't love these shoes anymore!}

~Wearing a dress instead of two piece separates can hide any problem areas around the mid section. Dresses create a continuous line that doesn't draw attention to where the two pieces would meet around your mid section if you were wearing separates.

~A wrap dress/top is also good for hiding any problem areas with the mid section since the wrap creates a diagonal and draws the eye up to your face.

If you have any questions or wardrobe dilemmas let me know I am always happy to help! Hope you all are having a great day! Love, love.

You can find me participating in The Pleated Poppy's: What I Wore Wednesday.

  1. You are so dang pretty! Love your hair too! Ok' NOTHING THRILLS me more then to see some one skinny sporting a darling Maternity dress. NOW' I know if I see a cute maternity top or dress... and I AM NOT PREGO... I can buy it. You can always cut out the tag, and who the heck would know anyway. If you didn't tell us, I wouldn't of known it was maternity. Love the print as well. I HEART TARGET! JGG

  11. Super cute blog, I'll be back for more updates and inspiration. I'm always afraid maternity wear might give me bad mojo (also not preggie!) but hey, sometimes you can't knock and cute dress and/or deal when you see it.

    I shall follow your blog for inspiration :)

  24. I recently bought a maternity dress at Target too. It was on clearance for $6.00, fits great, and is super cute. The front is ever so slightly longer then the back but that's it. I will look everywhere for a good bargain and fit.
